C-section or natural birth

We all know that babies can enter this world in one of two ways: Pregnant women can have either a vaginal birth or a surgical delivery by Caesarean section, but the ultimate goal is to safely give birth to a healthy baby.  In some cases, C-sections are planned because of medical reasons that make a vaginal birth risky. A woman may know in advance that she will need a C-section and schedule it because she is expecting twins or other multiples, or because the mother may have a medical condition, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, an infection that complicates pregnancy, such as HIV or herpes, or she may be experiencing problems with the placenta during her pregnancy. It is known that a C-section may also be necessary in certain situations, such as delivering a very large baby in a mother with a small pelvis, or if the baby is not in a heads-down position and efforts to turn the baby before a woman gives birth have been unsuccessful. But what do you think about that? Are you ready to have a C-section? What is your attitude to it, I'm asking as a curious mother who is going to have a due date in a couple of weeks.

I am pregnant and will be having my 3rd C-section. My first, I knew a C-section was a possibility because of some medical conditions. We ended up with the C-section due to fetal distress. My second was planned as a VBAC. Again, fetal distress combined with failure to progress and a "sunny side up" delivery position, we had a C-section. This time, at least it's going to be planned!

For me, being mentally prepared that a C-section was a possibility helped. I researched the surgery just like I did the vaginal delivery. While it wasn't my choice way to deliver, it was the safest for my babies. I think being prepared for either outcome is key.

I know some women are opposed to C-sections and will fight tooth and nail to avoid it. Some feel like failures for having a C-section. I was upset about not getting to VBAC, but my baby's safety trumped my wants.

And that's why I don't accept the C-section. I'm really afraid of that. I'm planning to have more than 2 babies and it scares me. We were trying to get pregnant for a long time. We used to undergo egg donation treatment. This is the reason for avoiding C-section.
You are brave you allowed them to do it for you..

It wasn't bravery in either situation. Both times, fetal heart rate kept plummeting into the teens. We were all concerned for the well-being of the baby, both times. It's not how I would have chosen to deliver, but I have 2 healthy girls now and may not have if I had insisted on a more natural delivery.

yes I do understand you! But if they tell I have a right to choose I will do it by myself. I don't want to be cut. I know one of my fried, she was told she has to undergo c-section and she was ok with that but... they forgot she had a poor reaction to the anesthesia. So, when they started to do it, she just woke up and got to feel everything... she told it was like nightmare, she felt everything..
with the time she's got grey because of that stress but she had a boy who is 25 years old now..

My biggest concern is how would a C-section affect my ability to breastfeed? I know of some moms who were unable to breastfeed after a C-section.
