How to Clean an Oven

Cleaning the oven also ensures that it works more efficiently, saving you energy and money. Although there are many ways to clean your oven, some ranges have self-cleaning cycles. This cycle heats the oven to a high temperature, burning off all the food and grease, which can then be wiped away easily.

Suppose you don't have a self-cleaning oven or are dealing with some more stubborn grease and grime. In that case, you might use a specialty oven cleaning solution that can be applied directly to the oven surface. Leave the answer to soak for a few minutes before scrubbing with a sponge or brush. Once you have cleaned the oven, wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Follow the cleaning solution’s directions for best results.

To do a deep clean of your oven, you can follow these steps:

1. First, take everything out of your oven. This includes the racks, pizza stone, drippings tray, and anything else.

2. Mix a solution of 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup water.

3. Using a sponge, spread the baking soda solution all over the inside of your oven, including the door.

4. Let the solution sit for at least 12 hours or overnight.

5. Using a clean sponge, wipe away the baking soda solution the next day.

6. Finally, put everything back into your oven, and you're done!
